New Albany firefighters participated in a candlelight vigil at IU Southeast. The Student Ambassadors organized the vigil to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on America. To read about the event, go to this Web site:

More than 250 students, faculty, staff and community
members attended a candlelight vigil on the mall in front of IU
South Bend's Schurz Library Sept. 19 to remember the victims of
the terrorist attack. The Chester String Quartet performed during
the lighting of candles.
The afternoon of Sept. 12, IU East Chancellor David Fulton placed
a wreath with the help of representatives from Student LEADERS,
Faculty Senate, Professional Council, Staff Council and alumni at
the flagpole in front of Whitewater Hall. A sign, attached to the
bottom of the wreath, reads ÒFor all those who have lost their lives
due to acts of terrorism.Ó Comments were made by Tracey Hedrick,Student
LEADER, and April Hoosier-Schible of the Staff Council.
