Douglas Anderson Director of Enrollment Planning and Research
  Douglas Anderson

Doug joined the IU Enrollment Management team in 2000. Using reporting, data analysis, simulations, and projections, his office currently supports planning and policy across Enrollment Management units, with an emphasis on admissions and scholarships.

A native of Salt Lake City and Washington state, he earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, followed by master's and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin, all in sociology. Although he had never heard of Enrollment Management at the time, his academic focus on sociology of education, research methods, and statistics were excellent intellectual preparation for his present position. His six years on the sociology faculty of the University of Southern Maine provided practical lessons on how universities really function.

Mary Ellen Anderson Director of Admissions
  Mary Ellen Anderson

Mary Ellen began her career in 1978 at Indiana University as the newly reorganized Office of Admissions was being formed. During her 28 years in admissions Mary Ellen has had various office and travel responsibilities. She has served on a variety of campus, state and national committees, including having served as president of the Indiana Association for College Admissions Counseling. She is a regular presenter at numerous high school programs and professional conferences throughout the country. Mary Ellen earned her undergraduate degree in English and her Master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration at Indiana.

Sarah Booher Director of Scholarships
  Sarah Booher

Sarah has been a member of the IU Enrollment Management team since 1997 when she joined the Office of Orientation Programs. She then held various positions in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions before being appointed Director of Scholarships in 2007. Her experience includes recruitment, marketing, freshman transition programs, and work with academically talented students. She has presented at numerous state and national conferences, and serves on various higher education committees and scholarship review boards. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in Communications and Sociology/Anthropology at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and her M.S. in Higher Education and Student Affairs at IU.

John Brooks Director of Development and Special Programs
  John Brooks

John Brooks has a 17 year background in development work having started at the IUF as Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations. Prior to his work at the Foundation, he spent 19 years with the IU Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid, with the last four years serving as the Assistant University Director. For the recent past six years, John worked for the Vice President for Student Development & Diversity as the Senior Development Director.

As Director of Development & Special Programs, John will provide support to fundraising efforts of the organization, specifically scholarship support, and will serve as a liaison with university and community groups concerning programs related to fundraising and scholarships.

John holds an undergraduate and graduate degree from IU and has extensive knowledge of the university, having been employed at IU for 37 years.

Roland A. Coté Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Registrar
  Roland Cote

Roland came to Bloomington as a graduate student. He began his career in the Office of Records and Admissions in 1974 where he has since served in various positions. He was appointed Registrar in 2001. Over the years, Roland has represented IU at various conferences, served on and led national committees, and has garnered awards for his presentations reflecting the innovative spirit of IU in its delivery of Academic Record Services. He also serves as Conference Director for the Registrars of the Association of American Universities (AAU). Roland earned his undergraduate degree at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and his M.A. in French at IU.

Kim Fatten Director of Budgetary Administration
  Kim Fatten

Kim Fatten comes to OEM from the School of Education’s Center for Postsecondary Research where she was the Finance Manager for the Center from September 2003.

Kim has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana State University, an MBA from the Kelley School of Business is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Consultant. She brings over 15 years of experience in accounting, budgets and finance to OEM, with a work history spanning accounting supervisor, internal auditor and assistant director of management, planning and information for State Farm Insurance Companies and accounting manager and manager of finance, planning & administration for the inter-continental division of Boston Scientific Corporation.

David Johnson Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Director of Administration
  David Johnson

David B. Johnson has been appointed to the position of Associate Vice Provost in Enrollment Management at Indiana University. He begins his new duties May 1.

Johnson is currently director of enrollment services and programs at the University of Alabama, a position with responsibility for orientation, testing services, enrollment management research, special recruitment programs and the university day programs. He has been at the University of Alabama for nine years. Before then, Johnson worked at Troy University in Troy, Alabama, in student and alumni recruitment and at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, in its residential life program and as an instructor.

Johnson brings to IU broad knowledge and experience in the area of strategic enrollment management and has been a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences around the country. Johnson has published and presented regularly on generation Y, student persistence, student recruitment, data mining, predictive modeling in student recruitment, and other topics related to student services.

Johnson holds a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Alabama.

Susan Langsdale Associate Vice Provost for Budget and Resource Planning and Senior Associate Registrar for Data Management and Administration
  Susan Langsdale

Susan assumed fiscal and organizational planning responsibilities for Enrollment Management in 2001. She started her thirty-three year career in the Office of the Registrar and continues to serve as Senior Associate Registrar for administration, student records data management and campus enrollment reporting and analysis services. During implementation of the new student information system, Susan also led planning activities for the support of access administration. She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and her M.B.A. from IU.

Anne Palmer Director, Performance and Technology Integration
  Anne Palmer

Anne began her professional career at IU in 1980. During 18 years in the Office of Admissions she held various positions in domestic and international admissions with responsibilities for recruitment, writing and editing recruitment publications, and operations review and redesign.

In 1998 she joined the Enrollment Management team where she is now focusing on technology integration. She manages the Systems Design and Development group which develops local applications to meet evolving business needs. Anne is an occasional project manager for new initiatives, and coordinates an operational group responsible for automated data entry processes for student services offices on multiple IU campuses.

Anne has served intermittently as a member of the SIS Project Team since it’s inception in 1999, participating in implementation and upgrade analysis in the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Campus Community.

Susan L. Pugh Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Director of the Office of Student Financial Assistance
  Susan L. Pugh

Susan L. Pugh is considered a national expert in the field of student financial aid, particularly in areas related to the administration and management of federal student loan programs and the application of federal aid for Americans studying abroad. She has served as a consultant to several institutions and on several national advisory panels related to the area of student financial assistance. In addition, she has extensive financial aid training experience at both the state and federal levels, with college administrators as well as with high school counselors. Pugh has earned three degrees from IU, including a doctorate in education. She joined the Office of Student Financial Assistance in 1969 and has directed it since 1988. Prior to that time, she was a high school English teacher in Indiana.

Jack Rhodes Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Director of Orientation Programs
  Jack Rhodes

Jack has been a member of the staff at Indiana University since 1987. As a member of the Enrollment Management team, Jack works most directly with the Offices of Admissions and Orientation Programs. Jack has been involved in recruitment, transition and retention programming for over 20 years. He has been a member of both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the National Orientation Directors Association. Additionally, Jack has held the position of Director of Membership Services, and has been a member of the faculty for the Orientation Professionals Institute. Jack pursued his undergraduate studies at Marquette University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. He later earned his Masters Degree in Higher Education - Student Affairs from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
