When you come to campus for Orientation, you will not only meet one on one with an advisor and register for your first semester courses, you will also learn about many of the ways Indiana University can help you be successful in and out of the classroom.  You will meet other new and current students, get insight and tips from a faculty member, and get to know many of the resources and opportunities waiting here for you.

Indiana University recognizes and awards outstanding academic achievement.  For the entering freshman class in the fall of 2008, students will earn more than $15 million dollars in merit scholarships from IU.  There are a variety of scholarships that students can be considered for, and apply for, when they are admitted to IU.  The Office of Scholarships website provides an overview of these opportunities,  links for more detailed information on each scholarship program, as well as profiles of current scholars on the Bloomington campus.
