The services provided by the IU Office of Multicultural Initiatives have been assumed by its individual units:
The mission of the units is to develop, encourage, and facilitate programming related to diversity issues as well as support services to students, faculty, and staff of diverse ethnicities. The units–the African American Arts Institute, the Asian Culture Center, the First Nations Educational and Cultural Center, the Latino Culture Center (LaCasa), and the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center–possess unique individual identities and missions but share the common goal of serving as a resource for creating and promoting a campus climate that emphasizes academic excellence, cultural awareness, and personal development.
