Hi! I'm Haley Naus and I'm currently a sophomore. This is my very first year as a Peer Mentor, so I'm excited! I'm an English Education Major with a focus in ESL (English as a Second Language.) I was born in Hamilton, IN which is about 4 hours north of here. I decided to attend Indiana University because there are so many opportunities here on campus and in the community. There is always something to do and you can meet someone new every day. During my first year at IU, I learned how to be a full time college student, work, and have a social life. I believe that through hard work anyone can achieve their goals. I have learned this from my year abroad in France, extra-curricular activities, and school how hard work and passion pays off in the world. It has taught me about who I am and what I want to become.

Hi! I'm Annalee Patel and I'm currently a sophomore. This is my very first year as a Peer Mentor, so I'm really excited! I'm a criminal justice and international studies major, with a minor in policy analysis, and my ultimate goal is to get accepted into law school. I was born in Indianapolis and grew up about an hour away from there. I came to Indiana University because it has great scenery, a great community, and I knew I could get the challenging education that I was seeking. It also helps how friendly the people and animals are (yes, animals!) I am a firm believer in doing good, whether it's for yourself or others, because it can take you a long way. Of course the definition of "good" is very objective, but that's what I hope to get to know about any of you! I hope to help anyone who needs to find their way in the world, or just this big campus. My first year has taught me a lot about the direction I want in life and how to obtain it. I follow a pretty happy, healthy, social, and school-related regime, but all of that took years of developing proper balance, and I'm actually still learning!
