IU OnBase Web Client

The OnBase Web Client is less functional than the Thick Client and is used mainly for retrieving, viewing, emailing, and printing documents. There are three different versions of the Web Client, ActiveX version, HTML version, and Java version.

ActiveX version

Most feature functional
Only works with Internet Explorer
Requires the installation of ActiveX controls on the user's workstation

HTML version

Less feature functional than the ActiveX version
Works with most browsers, exdluding Safari
No installation files required
No thumbnail views
No email functionality

Java version

Less feature functional than the ActiveX version
Works with any browser
No installation files required
No thumbnail views
No email functionality
