East Side Optical is located in east Asheville, NC and has been open for one year. We are looking for an Optometrist that would be interested in coming into a private practice which they eventually might like to own. East Side Optical is 1750 sq feet in an upscale shopping center with a good mix of stores including a bank, restaurant, hair salon, florist and dentist to name a few.We are located on a main thoroughfare with a traffic count of 20,000 cars per day. Our office is divided into a modern dispensary carrying the latest in fashion including a separate sports room collection, children's section and a Sun Bar of high fashion sunwear. We have a full lane with a separate pretest room and contact fitting room. There is also a second office that can be expanded into a second lane if necessary.
The doctor would keep all professional fees as well as the contact lens charges.We are not looking for any rent only sweat equity to build up the practice that would eventually be his or hers.At the present time about half of our patients are private pay with the other half being insurance. We currently have a semi retired Ophthalmologist refracting part time but he eventually will retire. In order for the practice to grow we need more exam time. This is the perfect opportunity for a young face just out of school with the right personality to build up what I think will be a lucrative practice.
