Our program is designed to help you explore all the opportunities and issues that you will encounter during your first few months at IU. Orientation is your first step in getting off to a good start and is required for all new students. Summer programs are two days long and will take place starting in June running through July.

During New Student Orientation, students will take academic placement tests (Math and Foreign Language are the required exams), meet with an advisor, register for classes, and be introduced to various services on campus. Students will not be permitted to register for first-semester classes until they have completed the orientation program.
