College Credit for High School Courses
Dual-Credit Courses A number of college courses are offered through high schools, and provide both high school credit and college credit. One such program through IU is the Advance College Project, which offers courses in many fields, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, History, and English, among others.
Ivy Tech Community College is actively seeking dual credit arrangments with regional high schools. The current list may be downloaded here.
Some summer courses or summer research experiences also provide college credit.
Advanced Placement and Course Credit by Exam General information can be obtained from the Office of Admissions.
AP Test Scores and course credit awardedInternational Baccalaureate and British-Style Advanced-Level Exams and course credit awarded
SAT II Subject Tests earn advanced placement, course credit, or exemption in Biology and English. Most other disciplines use departmental placement exams; check with individual departments or your advisor.
