This university-wide office supports the Vice President for University
Relations by strengthening enrollment,
support, partnerships, and goodwill through:
- enhancing and guiding IU's reputation
- communicating IU's value to key constituents
University Marketing practices integrated marketing communications—a research-driven, comprehensive approach that
uses a strategic mix of communications tactics to engage, inform, and influence target audiences. This once
unique (but now widely copied) approach has positioned the decade-old office as a national leader in the
marketing of higher education.
University Marketing provides a wide range
of services—nearly all of which are free of charge—to
partners engaged in strategic-planning relationships.
University Marketing works closely with the marketing communications and admissions
offices on each of IU's campuses.
