Life Abroad

Life abroad can be both markedly different and surprisingly similar to life in the United States. The following links may help as you prepare to enter a new culture.

Diversity
Living abroad can involve challenges unique to particular groups. Cultural differences in diversity issues such as accessibility, gender, ethnicity, sexual identity, and religion may need to be considered when studying abroad.

Family Responsibilities and Study Abroad
Students who would like to take family members with them during their study abroad experience need to plan ahead very carefully.

Health & Safety
Many resources are available to help students understand safety and health issues they might face as they travel abroad.

Resources for Life Abroad
Passports, plane tickets, and absentee ballots. These are just some of the details you must think about as you prepare to live abroad.
