Costs & Housing

studentsEach BCSP institution sets its own fee to cover program costs. Students from member schools can get cost information from their home institutions, which will bill them for the current amount. Other students pay Indiana University an academic fee of $22,625 for the 2008-09 academic year or $14,000 for spring 2009. Students pay room and board costs averaging about $6,000 per semester in Bologna.

Students from BCSP institutions can apply most regular forms of financial assistance to the program. Students from other institutions should inquire on their campuses concerning the applicability of their institution’s aid to program costs.

During the first week or two after arrival, program students live together in a pensione. With the assistance of the program and of the university’s housing office, students then locate independent apartments in Bologna and usually live with Italian students.

Please note: A $500 non-refundable prepayment is due upon official acceptance to the program.
