HOUSING
- Single rooms in residential colleges OR residence halls.
Students must apply independently for housing in Canberra just as Australian students do. Most students choose to live in University accommodation since private accommodation is difficult to find in Canberra. All students should apply by the deadline for Accommodation applications set by ANU. Please visit the Australian National University’s Accommodation Service for more details. ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you
- are a student at any Indiana University campus who is making
normal academic progress,
- in at least your fourth full-time semester of college, and
- have
approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- IU Getting Started Handbook
Biology majors need to have completed L111, L112 and L113
(or an upper-level lab) prior to participation in the program.
Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures
of the Office of Overseas Study.
Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose,
and appropriateness of match between program and applicant.
Students on disciplinary probation during program period are not eligible.

Australia Exchange Scholarships
Indiana state residents (in-state residents) are eligble to apply for an Australia exchange scholarship, which provides a reduced tuition rate for students studying through an Overseas Study program in Adelaide, Canberra, Perth or Wollongong. Receiving an Australia exchange scholarship allows students to pay reduced-rate tuition directly to Indiana University instead of the Australian universities.
