COURSE LOAD

6-credit Ulpan (intensive Hebrew)
in late August-September for academic year students and fall-only** students OR
3-credit Ulpan in February for spring-only students

All students are required to take
at least 1 Hebrew course and 1 Jewish Studies or Israeli Studies course each
semester
- Academic year students typically earn 6 credits during summer Ulpan, 12-13 credits during fall, and 15-16 credits during spring term.
- Fall-only** students typically earn 6 credits during summer Ulpan and 12-13 credits during fall term.
- Spring-only students typically earn 3 credits for winter Ulpan and 12-13 credits during spring term.
**Most years, fall only students cannot return in
time for IU spring classes.
HOUSING
- Student Village apartments in the French Hill neighborhood with mostly American and/or international students
- Dormitories on campus with any mix of Americans, Israelis, or others
- Off-campus apartments in Jerusalem

ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you
- are a student at any Indiana University campus who is making
normal academic progress,
- are in at least your third full-time semester of college, and have at
least a 3.0 cumulative GPA,
- will sign an additional waiver acknowledging assumption of risk given the
U.S. Department of State

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures
of the Office of Overseas Study.
Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose,
and appropriateness of match between program and applicant.
Students on disciplinary probation during program period are not eligible.

- Hebrew University fee: $9,305

- Meals & personal expenses: $2,000 ($400-$600/month)
