PROGRAM ORGANIZATION
ACADEMIC PROGRAM
- "Study London" and "Theater Studies" Programs*
- Orientation program on-site
- 30-35 IES courses in humanities and social sciences,
taught by British professors for U.S. students
- Outside course offerings at City University,
Queen Mary University (fall only), The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) (fall only)
- Unpaid internships in the arts, media, business, education, theater and politics

Academic options
- Program requires enrollment in combination of IES center courses AND
either one university course or an internship.
- 15 IU credits in 4 IES courses (3 credits each) and a 3-credit internship
OR
- 15 IU credits in 4 IES courses (3 credits each) and one 3-credit course at a British university affiliated with the IES program
HOUSING
- Student residence hall in central London with other American students.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you
- are a student at any Indiana University campus who is making
normal academic progress,
- are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college,
- are academically prepared for courses available on this program (primarily 300-level social sciences and humanities courses), and
- have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures
of the Office of Overseas Study.
Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose,
and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are not eligible.
ESTIMATED FALL 2008 COSTS
- Fee paid to IU: $650
- Fee paid to IES by IU students: $15,470*
(includes tuition, housing, health insurance, orientation)
- Meals purchased in London $2,400
Initial prepayment of $500 due Nov. 3 for spring; Mar. for fall.
