- 10-16 IU students
ACADEMIC PROGRAM
- 6 IU credits in "Photography of Japan: Exploring a Past and Present" (FINA S490)
- Supplemental instruction on Japanese language and culture
- Excursions to historical and cultural sites
ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you
- are an undergraduate or graduate student at Indiana University who is making normal academic progress,
- are in at least your second full-time semester of college,
- have
approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and
- have taken FINA S291: Introduction to Photography, or equivalent with
permission of instructor
Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from an art department
faculty member and ten clearly-labeled prints of original photographic work.
Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures
of the Office of Overseas Study.
Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match
between program and applicant.
Students on disciplinary probation during the program period are not eligible.

Fee paid to IU (includes tuition, housing, one meal daily, excursions, health insurance)
- IU Undergraduate students
- Indiana resident: $5,294
- Nonresident: $5,594
Initial prepayment of $500 due March 19.
- Additional meals $700
