Cathedral and the Sistine Chapel
- Program located along the Tiber River and scross from the Castel Sant Angelo.

the campus of the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali
- 100-120 U.S. students
- Field trips and cultural events offered by IES.
ACADEMIC PROGRAM
- IES program*
- Orientation with intensive Italian and culture course
- Required Italian language course
- 35-40 courses in liberal arts, psychology and social sciences taught in English and Italian
- Unpaid internship or community-based service learning placement for students with at least 2 semesters of Italian language
- Optional classes at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) for students with at least one semester of Italian language

COURSE LOAD
- Program requires enrollment in Italian language course and IES center
courses.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you
- are a student at any IU campus who is making normal academic
progress,
- are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college, and
- have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
No Italian language background required.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures
of the Office of Overseas Study.
Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose,
and appropriateness of match between program and applicant.
Students on disciplinary probation during program period are not eligible.
ESTIMATED SPRING 2010 COSTS
- Fee paid to IU: $640
- Fee paid to IES:* $17,170
(tuition, room, health insurance, some meals)
- Other meals: $2,300
Initial prepayment of $500 due Nov. 2 for spring;
March for fall
