ACADEMIC PROGRAM
- 8 IU credits (see conversion chart)
- Intensive language study and area studies courses
- CIEE Russian language courses include grammar, phonetics and conversation. Courses in film and music add to the cultural component of understanding the Russian language.
- 7-10 students per class
- Local excursions, field trips to places of historical and cultural significance

HOUSING
- Russian homes
- Very limited dormitory space available
ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you
- are a student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal
academic progress,
- are in at least your third full-time semester of college,
- are in at least fourth-semester Russian, and
- have
approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures
of the Office of Overseas Study.
Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose,
and appropriateness of match between program and applicant.
Students on disciplinary probation during program period are not eligible.
ESTIMATED 2008 COSTS

- IU portion of fee: $426
- CIEE portion of fee: $5,386.30*
(includes tuition, room, board, medical insurance, field trips, visa fees)
Initial prepayment of $500 due March 17.
Airfare, personal expenses and vacation travel additional.
*Special discounted CIEE fee for IU students.
FINANCIAL AID
- IU scholarships, grants and loans
applicable to program costs with some
exceptions.

APPLICATION DEADLINES
February 11, 2008
IU committee screens applications; final approval from CIEE. Notification of
application status sent by mail within four weeks of application deadline.
