IU student named Gilman Scholar

Todd Berry, an Indiana University junior from the Bloomington campus, received a $3,000 award from the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program to pursue studies overseas. Berry, an education major, is currently studying in Prague.
For the spring semester, the Gilman scholarship program received 990 applications and awarded 173 scholarships.
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the Institute of International Education. Online applications are available for the fall 2004/academic year 2004-2005 cycle of the Gilman scholarship, and the deadline is April 15, 2004.
