IU Programs in Kenya
Due to the current
ongoing violence in Kenya, Indiana University officials have decided
to suspend overseas study programs in Kenya. Students accepted
to student teach in Kenya as part of the School of Education’s
Cultural Immersion Program starting this March will be offered
placements in other locations. The Indiana University School of
Medicine will not be sending students or medical residents to its
project at Moi University during the months of January and February,
2008. The decision about when to send students to Kenya again will
be made by IU’s Committee on Safety and Responsibility, a
subcommittee of the Overseas Study Advisory Council, as per IU
policy:
