Study for an Academic Year Abroad!

Overseas Study encourages students to consider studying abroad for an academic year. The advantages of a year abroad far outweigh those of just a semester.

Selecting an Academic Year Program

IU Administered & Co-Sponsored Programs
Indiana University offers several administered and co-sponsored academic year programs. These programs offer direct IU course credit and satisfy part or all of the culture studies requirement or the International Dimension requirement. Most financial aid applies automatically to IU program costs.

Next Steps
By choosing one of the IU programs, students will receive comprehensive advising from Overseas Study in cooperation with major advisors. View our programs at the IU Overseas Study Program List. If you do not find a program that suits your needs among these, consult Non-IU Procedures for information on locating a Non-IU program and the procedures that will follow. After looking at individual flyers for programs in which you have interest, consult notebooks that have more program details in the Overseas Study Information Center. If you have further questions or want to speak with an advisor about academic issues, please call Overseas Study to arrange an appointment.
