SHORT-TERM INTERNATIONAL VISITORS GRANTS
 

Guidelines


The Office of the Vice President for International Affairs offers grant opportunities for IU faculty to bring international faculty and specialists to IU for guest lectures or performances. These grants typically provide limited funding for travel of international visitors to Indiana University campuses. Applicants must have contributory sponsorship from the department, school, or campus issuing the invitation.

Eligibility: Schools, departments, tenured and tenure-track faculty at any IU campus. NOTE: For IPFW faculty, only those faculty in IU academic mission departments who are or will be tenured by Indiana University are eligible.
Deadlines: 4 weeks in advance of event date.
Funding: Maximum $500

Recommendation Criteria:

  • Significance of the lecture or performance to the school or department
  • Stature of the visiting international faculty member or specialist
  • Support provided by the school or department, including matching funds.
