2011 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization

Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis received a 2011 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association for International Educators. The award recognized IUPUI's comprehensive internationalization efforts involving strong international partnerships, collaboration across disciplines, and the incorporation of community-based service learning into study abroad experiences.

2005 Winner of Goldman Sachs Foundation Prize for Excellence in International Education

The OVPIA Center for the Study of Global Change, in conjunction with IU's East Asian Studies Center and the School of Education's Cultural Immersion Overseas Student Teaching Project, has been awarded the prestigious 2005 Goldman Sachs Foundation Prize for Excellence in International Education in the Higher Education category.These programs were selected from nearly 500 educational institutions, media and technology organizations that are working to bring greater knowledge of other world religions, languages, and cultures to students and teachers; and reach more than 20 million students and families worldwide.
