Projects supported include the study of culture, geography, history, economy, politics, international relationships, and languages. The program is designed to contribute to faculty development in foreign language and area studies knowledge, especially non-Western. Approximately 25-30 awards are made annually. Awards made to IU are administered by the Office of International Programs.
