The Moya L. Andrews Women's Science Award was established by the Office for Women’s Affairs (OWA) in honor of Dr. Moya L. Through this award, OWA hopes to encourage women to excel in science, technology and mathematics fields and become active role models in the STEM fields.

The Moya L. Andrews scholarship will be granted from two separate pools of applicants by the OWA dean and the Women In Science Advisory Board. One pool will consist of area high school seniors who have been accepted into Indiana University, Bloomington (IUB) for the 2012-2013 academic year and are planning to major in the fields of science, mathematics, or technology. The other pool with be comprised of current IUB students who reside in the Science, Technology and Mathematics (STM) Thematic Community.  High school recipients will each receive a financial award of $1,000 and STM Thematic Community residents will be awarded a $500 book award.
