Joyce specializes in research dealing with learning, cognition, and motivation and has taught courses on a variety of related subjects including motivation, children's thinking, effective college teaching, and applied cognition and learning strategies. NSF has funded projects to examine the role of home support and individual differences in the support of early learning, particularly through play experiences.
Throughout the course, I encourage you to talk with me anytime you have a question, idea, problem, or concern. I should normally be able to respond to email within 48 hours, often sooner. Phone calls are welcome; we I am not always in my office, but I have voice mail, so you can leave a message and I'll return your call. Finally, if you're in or near Bloomington, a face-to-face meeting is always a nice idea.
