Academic Course Bulletins

The migration of academic course bulletin content from static HTML pages to a dynamic web publishing environment started in July 2008. By moving content to the university's Web Content Management System (WCMS), information about courses and degree requirements can be published from one source location to web pages on campus, school, and departmental sites. Bulletin course descriptions are published daily to IU's student information system, and included in the student planner. Since 2008, IU Bloomington schools, IUPUI, IU Northwest, and IU Southeast campuses have switched to the new format. There are currently over 20,000 course descriptions entered and more than 10,000 pages of information about academic guidelines, degree requirements, and academic policies.

Constituent Relationship Management

PAGR is working with UITS and representatives throughout the university to create an institution-wide communication system to more effectively reach prospective students, current students, alumni, donors, and friends. Digital Asset Management System (DAM)

IU’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) System is an application that provides for cataloging, storage, retrieval, repurposing, and distribution of digital assets. Based on NetXPosure’s product, IU’s DAM is an internal publishing system that is now available to all IU staff. A public interface will be open to IU alumni, media, and the general public, and will feature a searchable repository allowing most assets to be shared freely. Assets with restricted usage rights and associated fees will include an e-commerce component.

Digital Signage Solution

PAGR is implementing an enterprise-wide digital signage solution that will allow IU units to manage multiple communications via a variety of digital signage solutions ranging from small touch screens to large outdoor displays—while interfacing with Emergency Management and other enterprise systems and feeds.

IU Events Calendar

Working in collaboration, UITS and PAGR developed and maintains the IU Events Calendar, which provides a comprehensive list of university-wide and campus events. From the academic calendar to lectures, athletics, and student events, the Events Calendar is your guide to university activities. You can look for specific calendars such as Arts and Entertainment Events or Intercollegiate Athletic Events or for all events on a particular weekend or keep you own personal calendar. You can access more than 740 different calendars according to your interests.

IU Mobile

Working in collaboration, UITS and PAGR are developing a growing number of mobile and tablet applications that make IU accessible anytime, anywhere. IU Mobile delivers information and services for all IU campuses. While a dozen applications have been already been released, IU Mobile developers continue to develop new apps based on user feedback. We invite you to use the feedback app at m.iu.edu to submit ideas for new and improved services.
