A Walk Down Philosopher's Path

The Henry Veatch Memorial Dogwood Tree

Previous | Thumbnails | Next

Just to the north of the the marker in the preceding image, we find a pink dogwood tree, planted in memory of our late colleague Henry Veatch, author of the delightful early history of our department from 1929 to 1965, available here (PDF). (See also our Departmental Newsletter, 1999.) Behind the tree is part of Morrison Hall, on the north side of Wells Quad. At the far right of the photograph, you can see a few windows in Sycamore.
