Starting in fall 2012, undergraduates in the School of Informatics can satisfy their "Cognates" requirement by completing the Philosophy Minor in Mind and Cognition.

The philosophy department is sad to report that George Nakhnikian, who was appointed Chair of the department in 1968 and who deserves much of the credit for the department’s subsequent rise to national and international prominence, died on Monday afternoon, July 30, at age 91.
