The Division of Building Systems is responsible for fire and security systems, elevators, escalators and conveyors, two-way communications, cable and satellite systems, preventive maintenance night operations and the Control Center as well as maintaining the Campus Weather Page.

Cable and Satellite Systems

- Support campus broadband communication cable system.
- Monitor FCC compliance for CATV equipment.
- Maintain head-end CATV equipment.
- Provide support for satellite TV systems.
Control Center

- The communication hub for Physical Plant employees and customers.
Elevators

- Maintenance and servicing of hydraulic and traction elevators, escalators and conveyors.
- All technicians are certified by the State of Indiana including 2 QEI certified State Inspectors on staff.
- 24/7 Emergency stand-by service.
Energy Management

- Operate and monitor campus energy management system (EMS) and Central control panel 24 hours/day -- 7 days/week. Monitor 10,000 system points, elevator telephones, fire alarms, security alarms. Customer Response – provide initial contact during evening, night & weekend hours. Key control.
Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, and Security Systems
Supervisor: Mike Edwards
- Full range of design, maintenance & installation of interrupt dialers, motion detection, video surveillance and digital recording, computer security, keyless entry/card access systems as well as fire, smoke and heat detection and fire suppression services.
- 24/7 Emergency stand-by service.
Night Operations
