Central Heating Plant

• Production of steam at the Central Heating Plant. Operate and maintain 5 boilers for campus heat, humidification, and hot water.
• Distribution of steam to over 10 million square feet of space.

Central Chilled Water Plants

• Manage maintenance of primary/secondary pumping and contract maintenance.
• Production of chilled water at plant, using 8 electric centrifugal chillers.
• 3 satellite chilled water plants: Forest Quad Chiller (1500 cooling tons)
• Musical Arts Center Chiller (2500 cooling tons)
• North Woodlawn Chiller(1540 cooling tons)
• Total distribution of 17,917 cooling tons annually for air conditioning.
• Operation of system energy management.
• Chilled water distribution: 6 million square feet
