Saturday, September 24   Dikanda at the Lotus Festival

  • This Polish band lives and makes music as a family. Founded in 1997 in Szczecin, by accordion player Anna Witczak, Dikanda has woven a unique, original sound from the Gypsy music of Macedonian and Romanian cultures in the Balkans, as well as cultures further east. You’ll recognize the swirling, passionate Balkan rhythms, and discover something new and unexpected

Polish Table

Thursdays, 6pm at the Runcible Spoon

The Polish Table is a weekly gathering of Polish speakers, and those who would like to learn to speak Polish better. You'll find native speakers, first-year students, and everything in between. Led by, Instructor of Polish, and Justyna Beinek, Assistant Professor of Slavic, the Table gathers every at the Runcible Spoon Coffeehouse, on 6th Ave. near the corner of Dunn St.
