Funding Opportunities
Polish Studies Center Travel Grants:
Two grants of up to $500 in support of travel are available to graduate students and faculty of Indiana University, and an individual may receive one grant during a given academic year.
- One student award per year is available to enable a graduate student to make a presentation at a scholarly conference on a topic related to Polish Studies, either in the United States or abroad; as a second option, the grant may be used to support research-related travel to Poland.
- One faculty award per year is available to enable a faculty member to attend and make a presentation at a conference located in Europe, or outside North America, on a topic related to Polish Studies. It would also support IU faculty to deliver talks related to Polish Studies at a Polish university or research institute. The faculty grant is not available to Polish Studies Center Exchangees nor to IU Visiting Scholars.

Office of the Vice President for International Affairs:
- Indiana University Short-term Faculty Exchange Program in Poland
Each year the Office of the Vice President for Intarnational Affairs recruits faculty members and librarians for short-term (minimum of one month) assignments at partner institutions abroad during the calendar year. Partner institutions in Poland include Warsaw University and Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
- Indiana University Graduate Student Exchange Program in Poland
The Office of the Vice Presiden for International Affairs maintains exchange agreements that provide a variety of opportunities for Indiana University graduate students to conduct research, study, and teach at selected partner institutions abroad. - Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland
One-semester position (fall 2009 or spring 2010) for study or research in any academic field that can be accommodated at Jagiellonian University. Jagiellonian will cover the costs of attending the university plus room and board. A travel stipend will be provided by the Office of the Vice Presiden for International Affairs. - Warsaw University, Warsaw, Poland
Academic year or semester position (summer 2009, fall 2009, spring 2010) for study or research in any academic field that can be accommodated at Warsaw University. Warsaw will cover costs of attending the university plus room and board. A travel stipend will be provided by the Office of the Vice Presiden for International Affairs.
