Case Builder

Case Builder 5.0.9 is a HyperCard 2.2 stack designed to make it easy to develop, test, and modify interactive case studies, especially in ethics. Please note that Case Builder will run only on Macintosh computers. You can read more about using Case Builder, and look at a mock-up of two sample cases, by selecting here.

Everything you need to run Case Builder is in a self-extracting archive. Two versions are available -- one which requires HyperCard 2.2 to run, and one which does not (the "standalone" version, which is much larger than the other). Once you have transferred the archive to your hard disk, double-click on it to create a new folder.

The following items will be in the folder:

To use Case Builder, simply double-click on "Case Builder" and you're ready to go.

Feel free to use or adapt the sample cases as needed. We strongly suggest that you try out the Helpful Hints stack first.

In Case Builder, click on "About Case Builder" (in the lower right corner of the map) for information about Case Builder's development and its distribution as shareware.

Case Builder was primarily tested on a Centris 650 with 6 megabytes of RAM dedicated to HyperCard. It may not perform in a satisfactory manner on slower machines, or machines with less memory.

We do not recommend using HyperCard Player; it may work most of the time, but the stack has not been tested on the Player.
