Visit to IU East

On March 16, McRobbie visited the IU East campus in Richmond and met with the IU East and Ivy Tech communities.

 At Chancellor David Fulton’s request, President-Elect McRobbie autographs a banner announcing his visit. According to McRobbie, it was the first such request he had received as the newly elected president.

Visit to IUPUC

McRobbie visited Columbus on March 15. He met with the IUPUC community and south central Indiana community leaders at the Columbus Learning Center.

IU vs. Penn State

March 1 Announcement

On the first day of his official selection, President-Elect McRobbie begins the process of transitioning from his position as the interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at IU Bloomington to his new role as the university’s 18th president. McRobbie will officially take over as president on July 1.

Michael McRobbie at IU

As interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at IU Bloomington, McRobbie has pursued campus priorities for the arts and humanities, life sciences, and international activities, as well as the recruitment and retention of students and faculty.
