I came to IU from Australia 10 years ago. During that time, I have had the privilege of being a member of one of the world’s premier universities, an institution committed to excellence in teaching and research. Our students are exploring the full range of human knowledge through a balance of new and traditional disciplines, along with academic schools and programs that consistently rank among the best in the nation.
As my wife, Laurie, and I travel from South Bend to New Albany, from Richmond to Gary, and all of the campuses in between, we are constantly reminded of how inspirational the quest for knowledge and personal enrichment can be. Whether we are scholars, artists, dreamers, or all three, the longstanding traditions of academic and artistic excellence bind us together on our journeys of innovation and discovery.
