The LDR site is at the Indiana University Research and Teaching Preserve's Lilly Dickey Woods property. This site is along a relatively lightly travelled paved road on a steep hillside. There are occassional patches of Japanese stiltgrass along the roadside and along other roadsides in the area.
In 2008 there were a few patches of stiltgrass in the woods within 100 meters of the road, but these patches were relatively scarce.
