The LRS site in Morgan-Monroe State Forest is about one mile from the rapid spread site. It was prepared for harvest in 2007 and harvested in winter 2008-2009. There was a minor population of stiltgrass along the roadsides of the gravel access road to the sites prior to the harvests. The closest source population of stiltgrass was along the paved Main Forest Road about 100 m to the west. There was a minor invasion of stiltgrass along the roadside in a turn-around area and along an old skid trail leading to an old log yard (lower right). The old log yard did not have Japanese stiltgrass in 2007.
