Cicadas in the News

The 2004 emergence of the 17-year periodical cicadas (Brood X) was likely the largest insect outbreak on Earth. Justifiably, these insects garnered a great deal of attention. Their highly visible (and audible!) presence made their emergence no secret. Check out some of the news stories and events about Brood X.
