IU Research and Teaching Preserve
Over 60 students from the IU Collins Living-Learning Center spent the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2008, constructing a 1.8-mile trail at the Moores Creek parcel of the IU Research Teaching Preserve (RTP). Under the guidance of preserve staff, the students worked hard clearing debris, marking the trail, building foot bridges, and picking up trash. The trail is the first at the 261-acre Moores Creek tract, located southeast of Bloomington on the shore of Lake Monroe. The Moores Creek site is used primarily for faculty and graduate research.
