Field Lab Green Features
The ecological footprint of the IURTP field lab was kept small during construction. Only one tree was removed during construction.
Of the materials used in the Field Lab project, 16.9 percent were recycled (as measured by USGBC) and 40.7 percent of materials were regionally harvested, extracted, and manufactured. Using concrete and steel helped to increase the number of credits earned in the LEED system.
