Printing Services honored as internal printer

IU Printing Services in Bloomington has received two awards from the International Publishing Management Association (IPMA) and In-Plant Graphics magazine. Each year, a competition is open to non-profit organizations (both academic and corporate) that have an internal printing department. The awards from the competition are the highest honors given to internal printers for quality printing. This year, 593 entries were submitted by more than 100 printing organizations.

Bridges: A Jewish Feminist Journal, which was printed for IU Press, won the first-place award in the multiple color brochures category. This brochure was designed by Eric Lippincott under the direction of Kathryn Caras, director of electronics and serials publishing.

A poster entitled “IU Bloomington 2006 Summer Sessions”, which was printed for the Office of Summer Sessions and Special Programs, won second place in the four-color process flyers and posters category. The poster was designed by Nancy Webber under the direction of Les Coyne, director of summer sessions and special programs.
