Career Development Services for Psychology & Neuroscience Majors

The Psychology & Neuroscience Advising Team in PY229 can help you select courses that match your career interests, suggest co-curricular activities, plan for graduate school if that is in your future. Academic advisors can also direct you to a variety of career development resources on campus.
  • The Advising Resource Library has an excellent selection of books about career exploration, psychology careers, preparing for psychology graduate school and more!

The Career Development Center (CDC) and Arts & Sciences Career Services (ASCS) is located near 10th & Jordan - across the street from the Wells Library.

  • Career advising is available without an appointment! Career advisors answer general questions about majors or careers; critique resumes and cover letters; help students start on internship, job, and graduate school searches.
  • Career events include internship and career fairs, networking nights, recruiters, on-campus interviews and more.
  • Online help finding jobs and internships. Check out myIUcareers.com - a database of full-time, part-time, seasonal, work-study, and internship positions. Some postings are exclusively for IU students and thousands more positions appear from Internships.com, MonsterCollege, CareerBuilder and more.
  • The web link library helps students research career fields, professional associations, internships, and job openings.
  • Visit the Career Resource Library to browse the books, videos, and other materials or search their collection online.
  • Career courses are available for all students at any stage of the career development process.

The Health Professions and Prelaw Center (HPPLC) provides advising and other services for students who want to pursue careers in law, medicine, and other health professions.


The Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Career Services Office is available to psychology and neuroscience majors who enroll in one of Kelley's career courses (X220 or X420). If you are planning a career in business, working to earn a certificate or minor in business then you should consider enrolling in one of Kelley's career courses.
