Overseas Study facilitates study abroad experiences of thousands of students every year.
As the most effective and dramatic experience by which students can achieve international and intercultural learning, study abroad will contribute significantly to careers in all fields of specialization and should be an integral part of undergraduate education at Indiana University.
IU offers over 250 overseas study programs in 17 languages (including English) in 52 countries and in nearly every field of study. IU works to ensure programs are affordable and gives more than $100,000 in need and merit-based scholarships annually.
Psychology and neuroscience majors may apply for any study abroad program as long as they meet the eligibility requirements for that program. The programs that provide the greatest opportunity to earn upper-level Psychology credit are described on the Overseas Study Program Options for Psychology page.

The Hutton International Experiences Program (IEP) awards grants to help students experience the ways of other peoples and the sights and tastes of other cultures.
IEP grants are open to all IU students - you don't have to be a Hutton student to win a grant. IEP grants are, however, made on a competitive basis - you must have a 3.3 cumulative GPA or 3.70 major GPA to apply for this award.
International experiences can be shaped in many ways including participation in a study abroad program for a summer, semester or year, with travel outside the borders of the host city; participation in research or creative projects or vocational internships in countries around the world; or participation in service projects in foreign countries.
