IUPUI Director of Purchasing Receives Honor
Robert Halter, Director of Purchasing for IUPUI has been selected to serve as Vice Chairman of the National Committee of Regional Minority Supplier Development Council Chairpersons. With this appointment, Halter will also serve on the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Board of Directors.
The NMSDC is one of the country's leading business membership organizations. Headquartered in New York, the NMSDC was chartered in 1972 to provide increased procurement and business opportunities for minority businesses. The NMSDC network includes 38 Regional Minority Supplier Development Councils with 3,500 corporate members. Halter represents IUPUI as a corporate member on the Indiana Minority Supplier Development Council (IMSDC) Board of Directors. In addition to his service on other various committees, he is a member of the Executive Committee and is the immediate past chairman of the Board of Directors.
Halter is the first IMSDC Chairman to be selected as Vice Chair of the NMSDC Committee of Chairpersons.
