Duane Marine Biology

In only a decade of being below the sea, the Duane has aquired a huge variety of marine life. Numerous sponges, soft corals, and gorgonian lifeforms can be seen in the photo of the crow's nest to the left.

The Duane is an example of a very succesful artificial reef where creatures which once lived further in shore have been introduced to the site. Barracuda, angel fish, jacks, grunts, sea turtles, sharks, and manta rays are just a few examples of the marine creatures commonly seen at the site.
