Parque Nacional Del Este
Parque Nacional Del Este is located in the southeastern part of the
Dominican Republic. The area consists of 190,267 acres including nearby
Saona island. Along with it's vast historical and archeological facets
the park is comprised of tropical forests,
abundant caves, streams, coral reefs, lush vegetation and limestone
bedrock. Significant
features include the areas frigate bird and manatee populations.
