Hydrolab Instrumentation

Due to the challenges involved with field research in the environment surrounding the Manantial de la Aleta site, gear and equipment must be minimized and stream-lined for maximum effeciency.

Normally, several different instruments must be applied to gather data on pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, salinity and other characteristics of water. However, during the July field project, the water quality research team lead by Professsor Jones will be utilizing a Hydrolab DataSonde 4 Multiprobe along with a Surveyor 4 Data Display. The multiprobe is capable of accuracte analysis of several characteristics in one compact instrument.
