In order to maximize the enjoyment of a dive on the Benwood, site plans have been produced to act as an underwater map to help divers locate their position on the shipwreck, and identify the features they are viewing. The site plan to the right was created by the researchers from Indiana University. With the return project trips to the Benwood, research assistants have been able to keep an accurate account of the wreckage movement.
