11:30 pm placed in acetone at 1 Atm, 1 gallon of old, 1/2 gallon new. 11 hrs 1 Atm acetone

23 December 1997

10:40 am new acetone, vacuum--bubbles

11:40 am add vacuum, trouble with seal due to broken turnstop

1:20 pm add vacuum, +/- pressure

5:30 pm add vacuum, +/- pressure, few bubbles

5:35 pm changed to fresh acetone. Vacuum on--immediately lots of bubbles

7:15 pm periodic vacuum, +/- pressure, bubbles immediate with vacuum

7:30 pm 1 Atm until 10:30 pm

11:30 pm vacuum

24 December 1997

8:00 am vacuum, +/- pressure

1:20 pm polymer bath--3/4 1st batch (12/6-12/9 mix) 1/4 new batch

1:40 pm applied vacuum, vigorous bubbles

6:00 pm periodic vacuum, less bubbles

6:45 pm continue constant vacuum, small bubbles

8:00 pm 1 1/4 hr constant vacuum, small bubbles

9:00 am vacuum--no bubbles from vessel. Note cracks on rim

9:30 am removed from polymer--draining. Note: several rim cracks and a few side splits. Vessel shrinkage during conservation. Top distortion

1:40 pm 1 Atm polymer mix. Q1 light 650 ml added to polymer mix to dilute. Noted cracks only after polymer bath
